Bluebell Meadow Campsite is perfectly situated to become the base from which to visit a range of local attractions including Poole, Swanage, the Jurassic Coast and the beautiful Dorset countryside.

Arne. This is a small village in Dorset, at the northern end of the Isle of Purbeck. Arne which is just a 20-minute drive away is also the home of the RSPB Arne nature reserve where BBC Winterwatch is filmed.

“For over 50 years the RSPB, its members and our partners across Purbeck have given nature a home in this special place and we can’t wait to inspire even more viewers, of all ages, to give nature a home where they live too.”

Brownsea Island. A 20-minute boat trip from Pool Quay, Brownsea Island is rich in wildlife and history.

Beaulieu. Visit Beaulieu in the New Forest to see the National Motor Museum along with the peaceful beauty of Beaulieu Abbey and Palace House.

Bulbury Golf Club. For a great golfing experience in beautiful surroundings.

Bournemouth. A great family day out with plenty of attractions for all.

Bakers Arms. Great pub serving food in nearby Lytchett Minster.

Beaches. Dorset offer a huge variety of accessible and beautiful beaches.

Corfe Castle. Built by the Normans and destroyed during the civil war, Corfe Castle stands between the Purbeck Hills.

Christchurch. A town dating back to the Iron Age, with a wide range of historical features and attractions.

Courtyard Centre Restaurant. A great place to eat out and enjoy your holiday.

Cycling tracks. Enjoy the beauty of Dorset at your own pace by cycling round one of the many bicycle routes and tracks that traverse the county.

Cockle Trail. A walk around the old town of Poole tracing the town’s rich historical heritage. This trail was opened in 1998 to celebrate the 750th anniversary of Poole’s first charter.

Dorchester. The county town has; a fascinating history, exciting attractions for all the family and great shopping.

Events in Poole. There’s so much going on in Poole every year, you’re sure to find something to interest every member of your group.

Farmer Palmer’s. Four miles from Poole in Organford and originally a dairy farm, Farmer Palmer’s became a visitor attraction in 1998 and is specially designed for families with children of eight and under.

Hardy. Thomas Hardy, the poet and novelist, renamed many familiar Purbeck places when they appeared in his novels. The Thomas Hardy Trail will lead you round these key locations.

Jurassic Coast. A World Heritage Site boasting a beautiful stretch of coastline easily accessible from Bluebell Meadow.

Kingston Lacy. An elegant National Trust property, Kinston Lacy is a country mansion with an outstanding collection of Old Master paintings and is set in attractive parkland.

Kimmeridge. Part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, this small village in Purbeck stands on Jurassic shale cliffs.

Lytchett Minster. The pretty village of Lytchett Minster is just a short walk away. The village is home to Lytchett Minster Church and St Peter’s Finger, our local pub serving real ale and food.

Lulworth Cove. A beautiful shell shaped cove, formed over millions of years, providing a great place to relax on the beaches and swim in the sea.

Monkey World. Based in Wareham, this centre works to stop the smuggling of primates from the wild and rehabilitates refugees of this illegal trade into natural living groups.

New Forest. Offers a wealth of places to visit and explore from gardens and museums to leisure and wildlife farm and parks.

Old Harry Rocks. A series of chalk stacks in the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.

Purbeck. The Isle of Purbeck has spectacular and interesting coastal scenery, and also offers wetland, heath, forestry, farmland and welcoming towns and villages.

Poole Harbour. Just three miles away, Poole Harbour offers something for every member of the family.

Poole Harbour Canoe Club PHCC and its members are dedicated to promoting canoeing for fun, fitness, and friendship. We’ve been sharing a common interest in all aspects of paddle sport now for over 50 years.

Poole Harbour Kitesurfing – Easyriders is a dedicated kitesurfing and stand up paddle boarding school. Formed in 2004 and based in the perfect waters of Poole Harbour.

Studland. Beautiful Studland Beach provides three miles of soft sand from South Haven Point to Old Harry Rocks.

Sandbanks. A lovely beach on a small peninsula, which contains some of the most expensive houses and land in the country

Splashdown. Splashdown is an action waterpark; spin in the space bowl, enter the dragon’s lair. Under 8’s fun pool, cafe, summer sun patio and play lagoon. Great fun for the whole family rain or shine.

Swanage. The small seaside town that’s big on fun! Swanage is a popular Victorian resort, the coastal town of Swanage now provides an ideal base for exploring Purbeck, combining natural beauty, safe bathing, and a range of accommodation and eateries. Just six miles from Poole, Swanage is one of the gems of the South Coast.

St Peter’s Finger. A great pub in Lytchett Minster serving real ale and food. Dogs allowed.

Tyneham. A mysterious ‘ghost’ village, it was evacuated by the military in 1943, but the promise to allow the villagers to return after the war was never fulfilled.

Tank Museum. The Tank Museum at Bovington boasts the largest collection of tanks and armoured fighting vehicles in the world, and also stages exciting firepower and mobility displays.

Upton Country Park. Near Poole, it has over 100 acres of garden, open parkland, woodland and shoreline together with its centrepiece Upton House, a Grade II listed building built in 1818.

Wareham. A charming walled market town, situated in Purbeck on the Rivers Piddle and Frome, with many interesting buildings.

Walking routes. If you love to walk around the beautiful Dorset countryside, you may be interested in visiting these sites which give information about public footpaths, walking, hiking and rambling routes.

Weymouth. The fine Georgian seafront at this popular seaside town is an impressive backdrop to the fine, golden sandy beach. There are plenty of things to do in Weymouth for all the family

Whitemore Lakes. Enjoy coarse fishing at this two-acre horse-shoe shaped lake at Wimborne.
